Angling Trust are seeking talented anglers to join the England Disabled coarse angling team

John Weeden, England Manager of the Disabled team will be holding a Disabled International assessment day on the River Soar at Sutton Bonington on Wednesday 25th October 2017. Access is Soar Lane LE12 5PE. The intention is to select a squad of anglers to compete in Croatia next June.

The assessment day will be run to FIPSed International rules with bloodworm and joker allowed. A limit of ½ litre of joker with bloodworm for the hook along with other natural baits up to 1.5 litres will be allowed.

Fishing will be for 3 to 4 hours commencing at 11.00am.

All applicants must have individual membership of the Angling Trust.

John will be able to assess their disability to ascertain how many points that angler would receive under FIPSed rules.

Anyone selected will have to be prepared to pay their international costs to compete in Croatia and to help with any team fundraising.
