05.03.14 25 New Ambassadors Celebrate Five Years of the Angling Trust The Angling Trust has marked its five year anniversary by appointing 25 new Ambassadors to help promote its work and to encourage more anglers to join its growing membership. They will join the 40 Ambassadors appointed in 2012.
02.03.14 Sea Anglers Turn Out For Beach Clean-up Members of the World Sea Fishing forums and Sussex Marine Region of the Angling Trust turned out yesterday at Cuckmere Haven on the Sussex coast to participate in a beach clean-up following the recent storms. The clean-up had been organised by Brighton-based angler Craig Gosling and the Angling Trust were happy to help and lend our support.
28.02.14 'Tidal lagoon' project in Swansea Bay scrutinised by angling interests Following the rejection of the most recent Severn barrage (hydropower) scheme, which would have risked widespread ecological harm not least to the improving salmon runs in the Wye and Usk, an application has now been submitted for the world's first 'tidal lagoon' hydropower scheme, also in the Bristol Channel.
