07.11.12 Brierley Park Angling Club receive massive boost Despite being established for little over a year, Brierley Park Angling Club are showing what is achievable with a group of committed volunteers. The award of a £8729 grant from Sport England's Small Grant scheme, will allow the club to continue and extended the good work they are carrying out at the fishery. The grant will pay for a number of new accessible fishing platforms to be installed, full training for 3 members of the club as level 2 angling coaches as well as tackle & equipment to allow the club to run coaching sessions.

02.11.12 Tom Bilson Memorial Match 2012
Twenty six anglers took part in the 4th annual match at Pitsford Reservoir on 20th October 2012 in memory of the founder of England Youth Flyfishing, Mr Tom Bilson.
01.11.12 Bolton farmer pays anglers £10,000 for deadly discharge
The Bolton Co-Operative Angling Club has received £10,000 in
compensation from a farmer who polluted their coarse fishery in 2010
thanks to the efforts of Fish Legal's expert lawyers.
31.10.12 FIPS-M Men’s & Ladies’ World Shore Championships - Holland
The FIPS-M Men’s and Ladies’ World Shore Championships took place from 13th – 20th October 2012 in Veeland, Holland. This year the teams enjoyed a very professional organised event. The beaches were policed by nominated local anglers who divided the pegs, sectioned the beach, and stewarded the matches.
