Regional Angling Development
What is regional angling development?
The Angling Trust Development team aims to achieve maximum impact across all angling disciplines through establishing a framework of nine development regions within England.
Key regional partners are being brought together to develop and support programs specific to each region that will address their individual needs. This includes angling clubs, coaches, schools, youth organisations, the Environment Agency, British Waterways and County Sports Partnerships.
What are the benefits?
The benefits of establishing a regional development framework include:

- improved school to club links
- increased club membership
- more angling clubs to attain Clubmark accreditation
- more opportunities for clubs to gain additional funding
- seamless competition frameworks and structures
- more opportunities to become a qualified angling coach
