Regional Officer Yorkshire and Humber

Salary £22,000

37.5 hrs per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an Angling Trust Regional Officer to increase the numbers, diversity and frequency of participation in angling across the Yorkshire and Humber Region in the context of the National Angling Strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about angling and increasing the benefits of the sport for individuals, communities and society.

The appointed person will have a track record of engaging with volunteers and community, groups, developing effective partnerships and managing multiple local projects or programmes. A full current driving licence and use of a car is essential. Travel expenses will be met. The post will involve some week end and evening working.

Regional Officer East of England

Salary £22,000 Three days per week (pro rata) 22.5 hrs

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about angling and increasing the benefits of the sport for individuals, communities and society.

The appointed person will have a track record of engaging with volunteers and community, groups, developing effective partnerships and managing multiple local projects or programmes. A full current driving licence and use of a car is essential. Travel expenses will be met. The post may involve some week end and evening working.

Angling Strategy Implementation Manager

Salary £26,000. plus contributory pension  Full time. Midlands-based, home/office working.

Term: Initially 1 year, extendable subject to continued funding

In 2012, the Angling Trust was funded by the Environment Agency to develop a National Angling Strategy, which it entitled Fishing for Life (details HERE)  Funding has now been secured to implement this strategy in partnership with a wide range of organisations in the angling community by co-ordinating activities more effectively and by distributing a small project partnership fund to increase angling participation and the social, economic and environmental benefits arising from it.  The Angling Trust is seeking an innovative and outgoing Manager who is capable of working on their own initiative and building strong relationships with others.  This post is part of a £1m annual programme of work being delivered by the Angling Trust, funded by Sport England and the Environment Agency among others.  Although initially it is for a 1 year term, the expectation is that further funding will be forthcoming to make this a longer-term role.

New Media Manager

Salary £32,000 plus contributory pension

Term: Initially 1 year, extendable subject to continued funding

Midlands-based, home/office working

In 2012, the Angling Trust was funded by the Environment Agency to develop a National Angling Strategy, called Fishing for Life (details HERE)  Funding has now been secured to implement this strategy and in particular to promote the work of a wide range of organisations in the angling community to increase angling participation and the social, economic and environmental benefits arising from it.  The Angling Trust is seeking someone with excellent technical skills to develop and manage a number of web sites, applications and to run social media campaigns and issue press releases.

This post is part of a £1m annual programme of work being delivered by the Angling Trust, funded by Sport England and the Environment Agency among others.  Although initially it is for a 1 year term, the expectation is that further funding will follow to make this a longer-term role.
