About the NTCG
The National Team and Competition Group is charged with looking after the competitive side of the Angling Trust sea angling activities. Its main involvement concerns the International Programme, where teams are selected to represent England at both home international and world sea angling championships.
The NTCG consist of three members from the Marine Arm of the Angling Trust who co-opt selectors and advisors from specialist groups such as the Sea Anglers Match Federation (SAMF) who specialize in shore fishing, EFSA who specialize on boat fishing, UKSF who specialize in casting along with others who specialize in, juniors, youth, ladies and big game angling. The group meet at least once a year to select anglers who have applied for the National squads, squad development weekends are then held throughout the year.
As well as selecting teams the committee also has the responsibility of organizing the Home International sea competitions on a rotational basis, along with various national sea angling competitions and festivals.
The rules for Angling Trust Marine Festivals and Competitions are available for download on the right.
