Angling Trust petition for a review of the judgement passed against W Stevensons of Newlyn at Exeter Crown Court.

“We the undersigned believe that the conditional discharge sentence passed by Judge Phillip Wassal to Newlyn-based W Stevenson and Sons at Exeter Crown Court is an inadequate punishment for the landing of black fish and it will not act as a deterrent to other illegal commercial fishermen. We demand to see an appeal against this sentence and much tougher sentencing of people who deliberately break the laws intended to protect our fish stocks."
