DATA PROTECTION NOTICE As part of your registration for and attendance with the Voluntary Bailiff Service, you may provide to the Angling Trust (“we”, “us”, “our”), and we may collect from you, certain personal data (as defined in applicable data privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (“Privacy Laws”)), including, without limitation, all of the information on this form (including your name, email address, address and other contact information, and certain health information), and certain biographical information, including your photograph, and the dates and times of any patrols you undertake as a Voluntary Bailiff if your application is successful. Please note that this information may include “special categories” of personal data or data which is used in the context of a criminal conviction or investigation, which may be used in connection with in connection with the Angling Trust’s legitimate interests, namely to protect the integrity of the sport of angling, and for reasons of substantial public interest. We are the data controller in respect of such data and will handle your data in accordance with our obligations under Privacy Laws. We will use this information solely in connection with administering the Voluntary Bailiff Service. This may include sharing certain data such as email addresses with other members of the VBS. We are entitled to do so on the basis of our legitimate interests, namely to enable us to operate the Voluntary Bailiff Service. We may share your personal data with the Environment Agency in connection with these purposes, and the Environment Agency’s use of your data shall be limited to the same purposes as those set out above. We may also be required to disclose your personal data if we are required to do so by law or pursuant to a binding regulatory request (in such circumstances, such disclosure will at all times be solely to the extent required by law or the applicable regulatory request). We will retain your personal data on our systems only for as long as is strictly necessary for the purposes for which such data was originally collected (as referred to above), and thereafter for such longer period as may be required by law. Your rights In certain situations, you are entitled to: (i) request access to your personal data; (ii) request that we correct your personal data; (iii) request that we erase your personal data; (iv) object to processing of your personal data; (v) request the restriction of processing of your personal data; (vi) request the transfer of your personal data to a third party; or (vii) where you have provided your consent to certain of our processing activities, you may withdraw your consent at any time (but please note that we may continue to process such personal data if we have legitimate legal grounds for doing so).
