02.04.19  Mark Lloyd to take up new role as CEO of The Rivers Trust

The Angling Trust & Fish Legal are to recruit a new Chief Executive following the appointment of Mark Lloyd as the new CEO of The Rivers Trust. Mark has announced that he will be leaving the Angling Trust & Fish Legal this summer to take up his new role leading the umbrella charity for more than 60 member river trusts.

25.03.19  Angling Trust and Wheelyboat Trust launch project to provide seven clubs and fisheries across the UK with new Wheelyboats

The Angling Trust has joined forces with the Wheelyboat Trust to part-fund seven new Coulam 16 Wheelyboats that will enable clubs and fisheries to provide disabled anglers, and wheelchair users in particular, with access to their waters and fishing.

12.03.19  The river's high! Bailiffs find bags of cannabis plants dumped in the River Nene

Volunteer bailiff Roy Bridson suspected something fishy was going on when he was alerted by a club partner to black bin bags dumped in the River Nene in Cambridgeshire. He and his fellow bailiff hauled one of the bags to the riverbank – and found it filled with cannabis plants.
