31.03.17  Anglers support new initiative to restore rivers in UK and rest of Europe The Angling Trust is supporting the Living Rivers Europe initiative, launched this week by the European Anglers Alliance, WWF, European Environmental Bureau, European Rivers Network and Wetlands International. Living Rivers Europe has published a policy document that sets out a strong vision of healthy river ecosystems, flourishing with wildlife to the benefit of society at large, the economy and sustainable development in Europe.

30.03.17  Scandalous waste of precious resources as Environment Agency contractors destroy river habitat After a lengthy investigation, the Angling Trust has uncovered evidence of the destruction of habitat for fish and other wildlife by Environment Agency contractors carrying out flood defence works on rivers in six English counties, in what has become an issue of national concern.

15.03.17  Operation CLAMPDOWN 5 now running across England to target illegal close season fishing There are now 324 more reasons not to risk illegally fishing for coarse fish during the close season. That is the current number of Volunteer Bailiffs in England – and they will be keeping watch on their local rivers as Operation CLAMPDOWN 5 swings into action over the next three months.
