Talent Pathway program at Farmoor welcomes special guest

Martin Salter visits Talent Pathway at Farmoor

The omni-present Martin Salter, Angling Trust's National Campaigns Co-ordinator, dropped in for lunch with the Southern contingent of the Trusts Competitions & Talent pathway participants for Game Angling 2014/15 at Farmoor Reservoir, Oxfordshire recently.

He was just in time for an impromptu presentation in fly selection for fishing Loch Style from boats with Welsh International and Scierra consultant Scott Graham.

Scott was one of the specialist volunteers put together by Ben Bangham, one of England's International Anglers including, Simon Lucas, Pete Turpin, Martin Thumwood and Malcolm Hunt.

Danny Williams, the Angling Trust's regional officer overseeing the event said that the help given by Thames Water, their staff and the team of Volunteer Coaches; Paul Eslinger, Alan Purnell and Angus Campbell was paramount to the program's success.

The Angling Trust will continue to see that this years C&T pathway group are given time and space to develop their knowledge and skills so they are truly looking forward to the up and coming England Youth Team Assessment event this May at Grafham, Cambridgeshire.
