20.05.14  UK’s Sea Anglers Come Together To ‘Give Fish A Chance’ National sea angling organisations and NGOs from around the UK have come together to develop common policies regarding the threats and problems facing sea fish and sea angling around the waters of the UK.

16.05.14  Complete the Recreational Fishers and Habitat Survey to Win a Prize Great fishing is about the prospect of lots of quality fish while spending time enjoying the outdoors. Quality fish come from healthy populations enjoying good water, plenty of food and access to habitat. When we have dams, denuded riverbanks, culverts, dredged gravel beds and poor water quality we don't have healthy fish and we certainly don't have great fishing experiences. We are taking part in an international survey with counterparts in the USA, Ireland and Australia. The survey should take no more than 5 minutes.

13.05.14  New Team of Advisors Ready to Help Fisheries Tackle Cormorant Predation

A team of three Fishery Management Advisors has been recruited by the Angling Trust, supported by rod licence funds, to help angling clubs and fisheries reduce the impact of cormorant predation on inland fisheries.

12.05.14  Angling Trust and Canal & River Trust launch pilot Pairs Canal Championship for 2014 The Angling Trust & Canal & River Trust are delighted to announce that they will be working in partnership to launch a pilot Pairs Canal Championship on the Shropshire Union in the Soudley area on 14th September 2014.

09.05.14  Crucian Conservation Project to Launch at Coarse Fish Conference on 28th May The Angling Trust is backing a new National Crucian Conservation Project in an attempt to help reverse the worrying decline of one of the nations most loved fish. There will be a presentation about the project at the upcoming Coarse Fish Conference on the 28th May in Reading - it is not too late to book your place.
