25.07.17  Angling Trust reacts to changes to FIPS-ed World Club Championships Qualifier Following the news that the Angling Trust has reintroduced a qualifier to identify and select a team to represent England in the FIPS-ed Coarse Angling World Championship for Clubs (float), the Angling Trust would like to make a full and unreserved apology to all teams affected by the decision, for the short notice period given and for the lack of communication regarding the plans.

21.07.17  Consummate Campsmount retain Schools National The Angling Trust Schools National made its way to the wonderful Hallcroft fisheries in Retford for its inaugural run out and once more was generously sponsored by Daiwa. Although forecast, the heavy rain and thunderstorms abated and with plenty of room across Moat, Reed and Canal pools the young anglers took the opportunity to bag up on carp and silvers.

The Forth qualifier for the AT & CRT Stillwater Championships was held at Blythe Waters Fishery on Saturday 15th July. Only 18 anglers competed, but they were not disappointed by the quality and closeness of the fishing.

19.07.17  Gus and Colin near 'pair-fection' on the Forth and Clyde The latest round of the AT/CRT Canal Pairs Qualifier was hosted in Scotland on the Forth and Clyde Canal in what can only be described as appalling conditions. Despite driving rain and near gale force winds, 24 hardened anglers pitted themselves against tricky canal conditions caused by the previous day's weed cutting.

19.07.17  Mixed results for England in the SALC Shore Home International

The 2017 SALC Home Nations Shore Angling Championships for Men’s, Ladies, Youth and Junior was held in Pwllheli, Wales from the 4th-9th July, 2017. Team England competed in the Men’s, Ladies and Youth categories and their performances were rewarded with team silver, bronze and bronze in those respective categories. The gold medals were spread between Scotland and Ireland in the Men’s and Ladies categories respectively while Wales dominated the Youth and Junior competitions winning gold medals in each category.
