Linas blows away opposition to win at blustery Boddington

Results press release 2017

The AT & CRT Stillwater Championship kicked off at the popular Boddington Reservoir with the 41 anglers who competed from around the country battered by gale force winds. This led to predominantly feeder and bomb tactics making up the day.

With the top two from each of the five sections qualifying it was an immensely competitive match and there were some real scraps all across the lake.

Winning on the day and qualifying first from C section peg 77 was Linas Neale with 60kg 040g. Linas fished long range bomb with small PVA bags and sweetcorn on the hook to take carp up to the low teens.

Second on the day and qualifying first from E section peg 96 was Andrew Jupp who amassed 52kg 900g. Similarly, Andrew fished the tip at range and caught all his carp on pellet hookbait.

Third was Kerry McMahon with 47kgs 640g.

A special thanks to CRT’s Dick and Shelia Pilkington for officiating on the day. The next qualifier is at Earlswood Lakes and tickets are still available to Angling Trust members. Book online HERE.
