Joshua dreams of Big Money win!

Joshua Boddington 2019 press release

The final round of qualification saw very warm conditions which encouraged late spawning activity with the carp, this in turn made them very difficult to tempt and kept weights low.

Peg two on the dam wall (Section A) again proved dream draw for Joshua Palmer. Josh fished Hybrid feeder and wafters for five decent carp and a 20.84kg weight.

The ‘ field’ pegs justified their long walk with second place from peg 102. Paul Urban, (Ringer Baits, Luton) fished with Ringers yellow and orange wafters on method feeder, also for five fish and 19.74kg, despite losing four fish in the weed beds.

Rounding out the top three was David Turner on the favoured peg 88. Dave tempted four carp in the five hours for 18.70kg, which saw him qualify from J section.

With new five-man sections the following ten anglers also made the final:

A- Joshua Palmer

B- Mark Jennings

C- Matthew Grindle

D -Jonathan Grant

E- Jamie Hughes

F- Christian Donovan

H- Kevin Forster

J - David Turner

K - Lee Carver

L - Paul Urban

1.( Section A) Joshua Palmer 20.84kg Peg 2

2. (Section L) Paul Urban 19.76kg Peg 102

3. (Section J) David Turner 18.70kg Peg 88

Our thanks must go to the Pilkinton’s and the Bailiffs from Boddington, Keith and Ken for their assistance on the day.
