The Angling Trust and Fish Legal are seeking a new Chief Executive to lead their two organisations which have been united in a collaborative working relationship for the past 10 years. The Angling Trust is the National Governing Body for angling in England and the representative body for all anglers in England and Wales. Competition Support Officer
Salary £14,100 (£28,200 per annum pro rata)
Part time – 18¾ hours per week
Location: Home-based – Midlands (England)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and professional individual to join the Angling Trust.

The Angling Trust is recruiting a Competition Support Officer to provide a key support role in developing and delivering the Angling Trust’s angling competitions at a national level across coarse, game and marine disciplines. This role will involve both at desk and on-site work, with attendance at our angling competitions.

The Competition Support Officer will be responsible for supporting operational delivery of key Angling Trust competitions; providing support and management to competition volunteers; and delivering agreed competition targets. The successful candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and prepared to work occasional unsociable hours.

You will be qualified to at least A level standard. You will have experience of delivering angling competitions and in managing budgets. You will have an understanding of angling competition structure and delivery. You will be a strong communicator and have good interpersonal skills, with the confidence to speak with conviction. You will be able to develop and manage your own workload and have experience of IT systems and the use of Excel and databases. You will have a driving licence and own vehicle.

You will enjoy working with a small, friendly and dedicated team who share your passion for delivering an extremely high standard of work to our members as well as passion for the outdoor environment.

You will be home-based in the Midlands, but will need to be able to travel to meetings at the Angling Trust offices.

The Angling Trust is the national representative body for angling in England and Wales. It is united in a collaborative relationship with Fish Legal, a separate membership association that uses the law to protect fish stocks and the rights of its members throughout the UK.
