Kayak Fishing is one of the most rapidly developing disciplines in Angling. In recognition of this the Angling Trust has put together an innovative membership and support package to compliment the dynamic nature of the sport.

Kayak fishing is a truly national sport with no regional club structure and as such the Angling Trust's support is designed to directly support the individual member.

Kayaking Insurance
Make sure you have peace of mind - we are offering individual annual membership for £29  which includes £10m public liability insurance specifically covering kayak angling and any mishaps while you are on the water which damage other people or their property. Now you can relax and enjoy your fishing!

Access for Your Angling
Worried about access and restrictions on kayak angling? We understand the unique concerns that kayak anglers have and your membership and involvement in the process will give us more weight when it comes to fighting for your rights on these issues.
Canal and River Trust Permit and Riverboat Licence for Anglers - SAVE £46!
Are you a coarse or game angler? We've negotiated a Canal and River Trust offer which includes the Riverboat Licence but we know that as an angler that's not enough and you want more great places to fish too, so we've also included the all important Waterways Wanderer permit to give you access to fishing along 300+ miles of canal network in England and Wales that are not controlled by clubs. The Canal and River Trust is the new name for British Waterways

This is an optional bolt on package to your standard Angling Trust membership and can be ordered separately once your membership has been confirmed.

We appreciate that not all anglers will need this and so have included it as an optional extra.

We will also be developing a greater level of understanding and agreement with bank anglers. This will allow for better appreciation of freshwater kayak angling, create opportunities for clubs and kayak anglers alike, helping to foster mutual appreciation and avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings.

The Canal and River Trust Permit and Riverboat Licence combined price is just £14 - this represents a huge £46 saving over the normal price!

The Canal and River Trust Permit and Riverboat Licence - Where Can I Fish?
Canals and Rivers Trust LogoUntil 2nd July 2012 British Waterways was the public corporation that cared for the network of canals and rivers in England, Scotland and Wales. The new charity entrusted with the care of 2,200 miles of waterways in England and Wales is called Canal & River Trust. More information on the Waterway Wanderers scheme is on their website HERE. To view a list of waters currently available under the Waterway Wanderers Scheme click HERE.

To order your Permit and Riverboat Licence call: 0343 507 7006  and select option 1 - have your Angling Trust membership number handy. If you aren't already a member we can sign you up at the same time too - it only takes 2 minutes.

By joining the Angling Trust your support enables us to offer a position on our marine committee for a representative from the kayak angling community. You can therefore be sure that your interests are represented at the highest level by one of your own. This level of representation is unique to kayak angling within the Angling Trust and reflects the non-club structure of kayak angling.

The Angling Trust already has a very active competitions section and is looking to establish a healthy competition structure specifically for kayak fishing.
